All Fence Post set

In preparation for the private patio area, all the fence posts had to be installed first in order to determine where the patio floor height would be.
This allows me to only dig out the dirt that was needed for the footing walls that are a part of the post.
Sense the grade where the patio is fairly steep in 18 feet. I will have to raise the lower wall about 16" to bring the floor with in the desired elevation for drainage and concrete placement.

This part of the home was probably built in the late 30s to early 40s with just stacked rock and mortar. Surprisingly the foundation is holding up pretty good for it's age. Still I drilled and pinned 1/2" rebar and poured a small footing to help support the wall for the future years to come.

Here's a few pictures.

Posting for the fence area is being done first.

Here are a few shots of the fence poles tht are being set. There will be a concrete wall between the posts allowing us to make concrete floor grade a better highth with out having a footing and saving time.

Spring has sprung here in Washington State

Yep ... Spring is here tomorrow so Larry and I are starting to set up a little project. This will be a great place to be outside in the evenings with privacy and away form the skyline breezes that can be cold even in the summer.
So we are going to need something that will be great to look at as well as make us warm.
